Each year, the Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Journal recognizes commercial real estate’s brightest young executives, innovators and game changers as part of their coveted “30 Under 30” list. It is one of their most-anticipated issues for good reason, as our CRE clients, peers, and other leaders applaud the talented individuals shaping our industry’s future. This year, JLL is proud to congratulate one of our own, as Vice President Alex Breitmayer has been named to 2018’s illustrious list.
After joining JLL in 2011, Alex quickly established himself as a rising star. Since then, he has impressed us and our clients by completing over 500,000 SF of tenant representation transactions and assisting on more than 4 million SF of landlord representation assignments.
Time and again, he has proven his merit on notable projects like The Founders Collection – an aggressive redevelopment project that set the bar for Philadelphia’s class A Office rents through the repositioning of three cla
ss B assets.
Such successes have not gone unrecognized, with JLL presenting him a “Top Achiever” award reserved for our most promising brokers. Alex credits many of his wins to the inspiration he draws from his clients.
“Whether I’m working together with my landlord clients to come up with creative solutions to solve tenants’ needs, or working with my tenant clients to create a workplace that not just houses but advances their company, I learn from my clients every day.”
He also remembers the support he’s received throughout his career. The simplest but most influential advice Alex has received to date was to “not worry so much.” But these days, people are coming to Alex for advice of his own.
“Rather than simply doing something you love,” he suggests, “do something that challenges and interests you. There is nothing worse than boredom in the job you spend 40+ hours a week doing.”
For Alex Breitmayer, that challenge is working in commercial real estate, and we couldn’t be happier that he’s achieving his ambitions with JLL. For the full feature in the Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Journal, start on page 53 of their digital issue.
